Every stage before the gate is reversible and costs nothing but attention; everything after it changes what runs. Drawing the gate inside the loop rather than beside it is the point — there is no path from a proposal back to the workflow that does not pass a person.

Read a row left to right and it stops somewhere. Reading and analysis are granted everywhere, because withholding context only makes the work worse — authority to change is granted nowhere without a person, and over the instrument not at all.
